I had SO much fun meeting and taking photos of the Hall family – they picked the perfect spot for their Fall portrait session (the Glencoe Mill area of Burlington and the trails along the Haw River of Great Bend Park), I loved how the outfits for the session came together and, most importantly, they are the sweetest family of three. Parents, Amanda & Adam, are down-to-earth, good folks with lots of patience (always a plus when doing photos with a toddler!). Our morning session was off to an awesome start when little Marshall found a baby turtle along the trail. It was the cutest thing – he was so interested in the turtle and SO excited in the whole “milestone moment” that we got some great shots of some BIG smiles and enthusiastic hand-clapping. Finding the “TUR-tle” was definitely the highlight of the shoot and the perfect way to begin! We did some photos on the trails, by the river rocks and some with the dam in the background before heading over to do a few in front of the historic buildings of Glencoe Mills. We were super lucky to only have a bit of fog and that the rain held out until later in the day. I’m so glad the Halls shared this great photo shoot location with me (I will definitely be using it again someday) and I hope to have more fun photo sessions with them in the future when, if we’re lucky, we’ll capture another “milestone moment” for sweet little Marshall.
